To improve both troops and income, a hero needs to claim control of a variety of building materials scattered throughout the countryside. Casdes provide troops and the funding needed to hire them. There are six different types of heroes and castles - barbarian, sorceress, wizard, warlock, necromancer, and knight - which control different species of fantastic creatures - goblins, druids, golems, rocs, mummies, and calvary, to name just a few. The game mechanics haven’t changed much from the original: You still control castles and heroes, and your goal is to take over the other castles and defeat all other heroes on the gameboard. Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Prince of Loyalty, we can skip right to gameplay, because there’s nothing wrong with this version technically.

If you are looking to really commit to the franchise, then start with the first and work your way up. One of the game’s redeeming features is that you can see how the franchise first took root and where the ideas for the sequels came from. The graphics are very poor in comparison to what people had just five years later, and the game is a little bland in parts. Playing the game is a little tedious because very little happens between the fights.
Most people download and play the game because they enjoy the other versions and wish to revisit the game’s roots. Heroes Of Might And Magic is the first in the series and is therefore one of the weakest. Recruit heroes, gather your forces and conquer the lands of your enemies. It is a 2D adventure game where you must discover and conquer new lands while using tactics to outwit other warlords. The Heroes Of Might And Magic franchise began with this game.
